After many years living and working abroad I decided to follow a lifelong interest in nature and gardening by studying for an RHS Certificate in Horticulture at Capel Manor College in Enfield. This gave me a fantastic grounding in practical Horticulture and an insight into the fascinating world of plants in their many forms. As I also wanted to follow a creative path, I continued to a Diploma in Garden Design at Writtle College in Essex. This was a hugely rewarding course equipping me with the skills and knowledge to cover all aspects of Garden Design, from creative drawing to construction.
Whether travelling at home or abroad I have always visited gardens and parks and taken inspiration from the planting and design I see there, finding ways in which it can be incorporated into the gardens I design. My key principle is that a garden should reflect the needs and desires of the owners whilst being sympathetic to its surroundings.
I am a pre-registered member of The Society of Garden Designers, the only professional association for garden designers in the UK. I regularly attend meetings, workshops, and conferences with other design and landscaping professionals, both locally and nationally. In addition I am a member of The Gardeners Guild, a national trade network for professionally qualified gardeners.
You can relax in the knowledge that I am fully insured with both Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance.
